Brief info about the upcomming patch.

The holiday is over, a new year is upon us - and SH have been available to the public for almost 30 days.
It's been fun to see so many try the mod and even more fun to see that many players continue playing several times a week. Already the first day (night) I had the priviledge of being an passanger in an heli being flown by several true ace's - some of whom even impressed me with amazing skills, to today seeing that even those who might have been mediocre at best have really learnt a lot. And this goes for all weapons and units.
With increased skills across the battlefield, balance-issues becomes more vital and obious. Most notable is the fact that right now some 60-65% of the rounds are beeing won by the norwegian side. This comes from several reasons (one of them being that late at night unbalanced teams usally makes the players with more playtime to change to the norwegian side) and many of them are beeing adressed in this patch - but nothing major will happend. As far as we see it, all units are very much balanced - now it's time to make some tweaks and fixes to help more players to use different units true power.
The upcomming release features new regiments, several new weapons, some vehicles and lots of tweaks and fixes. The changelog is now claimbing over 50 entrys and are going to grow some more during this week of internal beta-testing of the patch.
Specific time will be given when we are closing in, but for now: Next beta-build will be released this comming weekend.

It has been an intense week.
First, we like to thank everyone that has downloaded the MOD and plays it on the servers. It has been so much fun this week, acctually seeing team-work, cooperation and try friendship out there on the servers.
We also like to thank all server-owners that is hosting SH right now - without your support gamers wouldn't have stable and realiable servers to play on.
Looking over the official mirrors (not counting any unlisted sites) Silentheroes 0.30 has up to today been downloaded over 25 000 times.
That is an amazing number for an early Beta and we hope for your continued support.
Right now the Team are continuing to work with the MOD. Initially we will release an update that is mainly an performance-fix and small content-update of the things that just didn't make it in time for the release.

Some time back "another mod" was about to release yet another version public and there was some hype about their F-14 having Player Guided Missiles ('PGM') - it even said it still had it in the readme even though it was removed just before release.
Today Team SH releases an 7min long video showing off that we can do what others can't!
This is what the readme has to say:

Ever heard mod-teams complain about not being able to add Player Guided Missiles to aircrafts, helicopters and other flying vehicles?
You won't hear us complain - since we have done it. Another first for Team SH!
In the clip you will see the Swedish helicopter HKP9 for demonstrational purpose mount an scout-aircraft used in the Swedish Armed Forces, called Ugglan. As an remotely controlled aircraft it is perfect to show that the movie is infact showing true, proper and 100% working Player Guided Missile-code in action. You will see the pilot manoeuvring the HKP9 without any problem or impact on the gunners performance or vice versa.
Silentheroes is due to be released in December. Check out the forums on the 1st of Dec. for more info.
The MOD contains more unique features to ever be developed by any BF1942-mod team. And still these features are not what we focus on, they are for us bonuses from us to you, the players...
Shouts go out to [JiF]Timmay! for making an useful menu-editor, Krezno for showing disbelievers what "thinking-out-of-the-box" and finding new game-features is really about, and lastly Team DC for giving up on their F-14 in their release, inspiring me spend 2hours(!) to prove everybody wrong - it can infact be done if a little thinking is applied.
